Is school board ticket backed by political machine?!

I previously wrote in my meet the candidates article about the alleged ties of the Albolino, Rodriguez, and Hoffman ticket to the Lynne Hurwitz democratic "political machine."  If there was any question in your minds before, they can be expelled by the latest mailer from this ticket.  On the mailer you will find a number of endorsements including SPEAK OF THE DEVIL that of Lynne Hurwitz (see picture below).

Endorsements including Lynne Hurwitz and members of the board affiliated with her "political machine"

Remember the Board of Education is by definition apolitical.  The interests of our students should be paramount and outweigh any political interests.  Make no mistakes that Lynne Hurwitz (backer of Albolino, Rodriguez, and Hoffman) is an absolute "hardball politician."  See this article referencing same.

VOTING FOR EISEN, WILLIAMS BEMBRY, AND CARTER IS THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE THAT POLITICS STAYS OUT OF OUR SCHOOLS AND OFF OF OUR SCHOOL BOARD.

REMEMBER THAT A VOTE FOR 3-6-5 IS A VOTE TO KEEP THE STUDENTS INTERESTS FIRST 365 DAYS A YEAR!

It is always interesting that those who claim to be apolitical or support diversity in the schools have failed to put forth a diverse group of candidates in 3 of the 4 school board elections? Those candidates were endorsed by the same political parties listed in your article. Isn't it also funny that Mr. Albolino and other former and current members of the Board saw no need for open and televised meetings until they were backed into the corner at a meeting at Fairmount School when former superintendent, Kliszus, instructed former Assistant Superintendent, Gonzalez, to record that meeting? When I asked the question why the board was able to record that meeting and not meetings on a regular basis, only then did Board President, Mr. Albolino, asked Dr. Gonzalez, why he was recording the meeting, and he answered Dr. Kliszus had instructed him to do so for personal reasons. It was only then that a motion was made to record the meetings. Board member, Bembry, made that request on numerous occasions but the motion was voted down by the same "rubber stamped" voting that will continue on this new Board. I have attended mostly all of the board meetings in the last 10 or more years where candidates endorsed by those so called non-political parties voted on issues important to this district without the proper information and stated that they would review the documents later. Of course, those meetings were not recorded and the minutes were just summarized often leaving out information of those who questioned how they could put the "horse before the cart" and vote without having the proper information to review.. I can tell you, if you ;liked them or not, Mrs. Bembry and the other 3 board members who voted against the administrators, always did due diligence when making votes. That was obvious in the recorded meetings. The four had reviewed the packets delivered to their homes prior to coming to meetings while the others had no questions and refused to allow the 4 to seek additional information when requested by voting against any motion to obtain information necessary to make an educated decision. Finally, isn't it funny that when the district started its regular recording of meetings, they were not placed on the public access channels for 2 weeks later when the 12 am meetings in May, June, and July 2012, were up on the public access channel less than 24 hours later and once the use of the alleged need to use the Doctrine of Necessity and the vote to overturn the failed vote on those administrators passed, have now reverted back to the recordings being available for review on the public access channel to 2 or more weeks later.

The only thing I can say is that you cannot get a full picture of what goes on at those Board meetings if you do not attend on a regular basis and only attend meetings in reaction to something that you are not pleased with. I guess for some, attending 3 meetings over the 12 years your child attends school gives you a full perspective of what goes on at those meetings.

The statement that 90% of the community elected the last 3 candidates when approximately only 15% of Hackensack's registered voters came out to vote, definitely indicates that is an outright lie!

Hopefully, that alleged 90% of voters who came out to vote, finally come out to meetings to see the real deal!

I apologize for grammatical mistakes in my post. Although I was offered the chance to review and edit, my frustration with Mr. Albolino and his cohorts blurred my vision and I failed to see the edit button. In any event, I will be happy to elaborate.
