First Presbyterian Church hosts barbecue to fight hunger

Today, the First Presbyterian Church of Hackensack hosted their annual barbecue to fight hunger.  Headed by the Heatwole Family and catered by Fink's Barbecue of Dumont, the event drew out more than 130 locals to raise funds for the local Center for Food Action.

In attendance, Councilwoman Rose Greenman commented on the quality of the barbecue and the great cause.  Greenman remarked how great it is to see so many people coming together to support an important cause, fighting hunger.

This event, hosted annually, helps the Center for Food Action in their efforts to combat hunger and support homelessness prevention.  Locally, if you are interested in helping, the Center for Food Action accepts non-perishable food donations and is located at 316 First Street (open Monday through Thursday 9:30a to 3:30p and Friday 9:30a to 2:30p).
